Flexible Scheduling for Homeschool Families
Our farm school operates from September through May, providing approximately 39 weeks of enriching nature-based learning experiences each school year.
Families can choose the schedule that best fits their homeschool needs while enjoying hands-on learning, outdoor exploration, meaningful projects, and a supportive community environment.
Rooted in Nature, Structured for Growth
Our schedule balances predictable routines with the changing seasons of the farm. We follow a standard academic year with a four-day week, leaving Fridays open for family time or independent exploration.

Volunteer Hours
Per Semester
At IAF Farm School, we believe the strongest learning communities are built together. Parent volunteers play an important role in creating meaningful experiences for our students while helping care for the farm, support events, and strengthen our community.
Families who prefer not to volunteer may choose a buyout option of $15 per hour. Any uncompleted volunteer hours will be added to the family's final invoice at the end of the school year.
Your tuition goes beyond classroom instruction. Every dollar supports enriching experiences, quality materials, and the people who help make each day at the farm meaningful.
Outdoor exploration, discovery, and hands on experiences that encourage curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Educational supplies, classroom resources, and project materials are provided throughout the school year.
Beautiful natural learning spaces designed to inspire creativity, exploration, and connection with the environment.
Students participate in engaging activities that build practical skills, confidence, and teamwork.
Guidance from dedicated educators who foster meaningful learning through encouragement and mentorship.
Special events, collaborative activities, and farm school traditions that help families build lasting connections.
A successful day at the farm starts with a few everyday essentials. Sending your child prepared helps them stay comfortable, safe, and ready to learn outdoors.
A healthy lunch to fuel a full day of learning and exploration.
Pack one or two nutritious snacks for morning and afternoon breaks.
A refillable water bottle labeled with your child's name.
Dress for the season and expect to spend plenty of time outdoors.
Sturdy shoes or boots that are comfortable for walking and exploring.
Additional items such as rain gear, hats, or extra layers when needed.
Farm school happens rain or shine. We encourage families to dress children in comfortable clothes that can get muddy, explore nature, and enjoy every season with confidence.

We would love to connect with families who value outdoor learning, hands-on experiences, creativity, and meaningful childhood experiences.

Helping homeschool families nurture curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning through nature-based experiences.
