Welcome to Isle Acre Farms Farm School. By enrolling a child in our program, participating in activities, or accessing our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to help maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all students, families, and staff.
1. Program Overview
Isle Acre Farms Farm School is a nature-based educational program designed to support homeschool families through hands-on learning experiences, outdoor exploration, practical life skills, and community-centered activities.
Participation in the program is voluntary and subject to compliance with all policies, procedures, and expectations outlined by Isle Acre Farms Farm School.
2. Enrollment
Enrollment is limited and spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Enrollment is not considered complete until:
● All required forms have been submitted
● Enrollment fees have been paid
● Tuition agreements have been signed
● Liability waivers have been completed
● Any additional requested documentation has been received
The school reserves the right to deny or discontinue enrollment when it is determined that the program is not an appropriate fit for a student or family.
3. Tuition and Fees
Tuition and enrollment fees are due according to the payment schedule outlined during enrollment.
Enrollment fees are non-refundable.
Failure to make timely payments may result in:
● Late fees
● Suspension of participation
● Loss of enrollment status
● Collection of unpaid balances
Previously paid tuition may be non-refundable except where otherwise required by law or specifically stated in a written agreement.
4. Parent Volunteer Requirement
Each enrolled family agrees to complete:
8 volunteer hours per semester
Volunteer opportunities may include assisting with events, projects, maintenance, farm activities, or other community needs.
Families who choose not to complete volunteer hours may utilize the volunteer buyout option of:
$15 per unfulfilled volunteer hour
Any unpaid volunteer buyout fees may be added to the family's final invoice.
5. Attendance
Because our program serves homeschool families, attendance is encouraged but not mandatory.
Families should notify the school of planned absences whenever possible.
Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. No refunds, credits, or make-up days will be provided for missed days.
6. Outdoor Learning Acknowledgement
Families understand and acknowledge that Isle Acre Farms Farm School is an outdoor learning environment.
Students may encounter:
● Uneven terrain
● Weather conditions
● Mud
● Insects
● Ants
● Snakes
● Gardening tools
● Farm-related activities
● Animals when available
Participation in outdoor activities carries inherent risks. Families accept these risks as part of enrollment and agree to sign all required liability and assumption-of-risk forms.
7. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:
● Treat others with kindness and respect
● Follow teacher instructions
● Respect property and equipment
● Participate safely in activities
● Use appropriate language and behavior
●Contribute positively to the learning environment
The school reserves the right to address behavioral concerns using restorative conversations, natural consequences, reflection, redirection, and other appropriate interventions.
8. Suspension and Removal
A student may be suspended or removed from the program if their behavior repeatedly threatens the safety, well-being, or learning environment of others.
Examples may include:
● Bullying
● Harassment
●Physical aggression
● Threats
● Repeated unsafe behavior
● Severe disruptions
● Ongoing refusal to follow program expectations
Program leadership reserves the right to determine when removal is necessary.
9. Parent Conduct
Parents and guardians are expected to:
● Communicate respectfully with staff and families
● Support program policies
● Address concerns professionally
● Foster a positive community environment
● Partner with staff in support of their child
Harassment, intimidation, threats, repeated hostility, or behavior that negatively impacts the community may result in dismissal from the program.
10. Family Dismissal
The school reserves the right to terminate enrollment if a family:
● Repeatedly violates program policies
● Engages in hostile or disruptive conduct
● Creates safety concerns
● Fails to meet financial obligations
● Damages trust within the community
Dismissal decisions are made at the sole discretion of program leadership.
11. Health and Illness
Students should remain home if they have experienced:
● Fever within the previous 24 hours
● Vomiting within the previous 24 hours
● Diarrhea within the previous 24 hours
Parents are responsible for ensuring students arrive healthy and prepared to participate.
12. Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Students may only be released to:
● Parents
● Legal guardians
● Authorized individuals listed on enrollment forms
Late pickups may result in additional fees.
Late Pickup Fee: $15 per 10 minutes after a 15-minute grace period.
13. Weather and Emergency Closures
The school may close or modify operations due to:
● Severe weather
● Tornado threats
● Safety concerns
● Emergencies
● Circumstances beyond the school's control
Closures will be communicated via email.
No refunds or make-up days are guaranteed for weather-related closures.
14. Media Release
The school may photograph or record activities for educational, promotional, marketing, or social media purposes.
Families may opt out through written notification if such an option is provided during enrollment.
Separate media consent forms may be required.
15. Privacy
Personal information collected during enrollment is used solely for educational, administrative, safety, and communication purposes.
The school will not sell or intentionally share personal information with third parties except as required by law or necessary to operate the program.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Isle Acre Farms Farm School, Isle Acre Farms, its owners, employees, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, illness, accident, delay, or expense arising from participation in the program except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Participation is undertaken at the family's own risk.
17. Policy Changes
Isle Acre Farms Farm School reserves the right to modify policies, procedures, fees, schedules, and program offerings as necessary.
Families will be notified of significant policy changes through email or written communication.
18. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in Isle Acre Farms Farm School, parents or guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
They further acknowledge that participation in a nature-based educational program includes inherent risks and responsibilities and agree to support the mission, values, and community standards of Isle Acre Farms Farm School.
