Admission

Finding the Right Fit for Your Family

Choosing the right learning environment is an important decision, and we believe the admissions process should feel simple, transparent, and personal.

At Isle Acre Farms Farm School, we're looking for families who value curiosity, hands-on learning, outdoor experiences, and a community-centered approach to education. Our goal is to ensure that both students and families are a great fit for the culture and mission of our program.

Parent Partnership

We believe children thrive when families and educators work together. Creating a positive learning environment takes a strong community, and we value the role parents play in helping make that possible.

As part of our community-centered approach, each family is asked to contribute 8 volunteer hours per semester. Volunteer opportunities may include assisting with special events, supporting farm projects, helping during community work days, preparing learning spaces, or contributing in other ways that support the program throughout the year.

We understand that every family has different schedules and commitments. For families who are unable to complete their volunteer hours, a buyout option is available at $15 per hour for any unfulfilled hours. Our goal is not simply to fulfill a requirement, but to encourage meaningful involvement and partnership that helps create a supportive, enriching experience for all students and families within the Isle Acre Farms Farm School community.

Before You Enroll

Students at Isle Acre Farms Farm School spend the majority of their day outdoors participating in hands-on, nature-based learning experiences. Families should be comfortable with an educational environment that encourages exploration, movement, creativity, and learning beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Because our program takes place primarily outdoors, students will regularly experience a variety of weather conditions, seasonal changes, natural terrain, and outdoor activities. Learning opportunities may include gardening projects, nature exploration, outdoor games, building projects, and other hands-on experiences designed to help children connect with the world around them.

Families should understand that participation in a nature-based program includes exposure to elements such as heat, cold, rain, mud, insects, plants, uneven ground, and other outdoor conditions that are part of everyday farm life. While safety is always a priority and students are supervised throughout the day, outdoor learning naturally carries some inherent risks.

We encourage families to carefully review our philosophy, expectations, and policies before enrolling. All enrolled families will be required to complete liability waivers, emergency contact forms, and assumption-of-risk agreements prior to participation in the program.

Ready to Get Started?

We would love to connect with families who value outdoor learning, hands-on experiences, creativity, and meaningful childhood experiences.

Helping homeschool families nurture curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning through nature-based experiences.
